inter-AKT Digital Mentoring

Welcome to inter-AKT, The Albert Kennedy Trust’s Digital Mentoring platform, providing a safe and non-judgemental space for young people 16-25 years old who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans or questioning their gender identity or sexual orientation to access support.

Here you can talk to a range of mentors about issues that are important to you, whether it’s through chat, messaging, video calls or just audio. If you have a worry, question, concern, challenge, interest or goal, our trained mentors are here to explore these with you. Issues might include but are not limited to:

Follow these steps to get started

  1. Click on ‘Sign Up’ in the top right hand corner of this page to create an account.
  2. Before talking to a Digital Mentor you need to complete this online form. It will save time if you complete this before getting in touch with a mentor.
  3. Scroll down to browse our team of Digital Mentors. Read more about each mentor by clicking on their photo. You can get in touch with our London, Manchester and Newcastle offices using their profiles.
  4. Click on the profile of the mentor you’d like to talk to, and click the ‘Message’ button to get in touch with them to arrange a session. State your name, what you would like help with, and your preferred time.
  5. The Digital Mentor will reply to your message within two working days to arrange a session with you.

Out of hours help and crisis support

Our Digital are not available around the clock and will aim to get back to you within two working days. If you need urgent help, are considering suicide or feel you are in danger, click here.
